Overview

Pick up your RV in Denver and head north into Wyoming. Your first stop takes you to Guernsey State Park, where you can explore the “ruts” on the historic Oregon Trail. Continue your trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota, which is home to the faces of Mount Rushmore, the work-in-progress Crazy Horse Memorial, the caverns of Wind Cave National Park and Jewel Cave National Monument, the wildlife and adventure-filled Custer State Park, and the otherworldly Badlands National Park. Head back into Wyoming to America’s first national monument, Devils Tower, to marvel at its columns rising 1,267 feet above you, before traveling back south to Cheyenne for one last taste of Wyoming’s western history. Return to Denver to drop off your RV and fly home.

Badlands NP - 1 night

Take a trip to these otherworldly and colorful jagged rocks, steep canyons and towering spires. It is also one of the world’s most fossil-rich lands, so keep your eyes peeled as you hike through this enchanting land.

Black Hills, SD - 3 nights

The Black Hills is home to some truly incredible natural wonders. Probably most known for the monumental faces of Mount Rushmore, you can also find the Crazy Horse Memorial, Wind Cave National Park and Jewel Cave National Monument, and the Cathedral Spires of Custer State Park.

Devils Tower - 1 night

America’s first national monument, this geologic wonder is made of columns rising 1,267 feet above you. Take a hike around its base and stay out after sunset for some breathtaking stargazing.

Cheyenne, WY - 1 night

Finish your trip with a taste of the cowboy experience of Wyoming. Don your cowboy hat and boots and head to the rodeo, or discover the past with a visit to the Frontier Days Old West Museum.
