Overview

Kick off your Oregon coastal trip with a night in Portland, home of the motto “Keep Portland Weird” and full of personality. Head west to the coast and begin your journey at Cannon Beach, home to Haystack Rock before you start heading south. Spend a few nights in the northern coastal area, exploring the popular sandy beaches, lighthouses, and charming coastal-towns. As you get to the southern coast, you’ll experience the less-crowded, more wild and rugged portion of the coastline. Hike to secluded beaches enveloped in mist, fly fish, or maybe go crabbing. Drive the Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor before heading inland. Stop for a night in Roseburg, the gateway to the Umpqua Valley wine trail, before heading back to Portland.
