Beartooth Highway RV Vacation
About Beartooth Highway, Montana / Wyoming
It may be strange to consider a highway a destination, but this is easily one of the most scenic drives in the country, and is a common bucket list item. Plus, it takes you to one of the greatest destinations in the West - Yellowstone. Frequent turnouts, picnic spots and campgrounds allow you to take your time driving this 68-mile route, stopping often to take in the breathtaking views of mountain peaks, alpine meadows, and bright-blue lakes. But, be aware that because of its high altitude, the road can close during the winter months when the snow falls and can remain closed for parts of spring and fall.
