Healdsburg RV Vacation
About Healdsburg, California
Located in Sonoma County, and about 70 miles north of San Francisco, Healdsburg is a town known for its great wine and food, its adorable town square, and spectacular scenery. The town itself boasts charming shops, tasting rooms and gorgeous parks, and is a great destination to just wander among the orange and cherry blossom trees. The Russian River runs through town, and brings activities like swimming, rafting (the lazy kind) and lounging by the water on a hot summer day. Just outside of the town is Dry Creek Valley, a premium winegrowing region home to over 60 wineries and 150 winegrowers. Known for its zinfandel, this area is very easy to explore with just two roads, 5 stop signs and 10,000 acres of endless beauty. We love the laid-back vibe of the tasting rooms in Dry Creek, and you can’t beat the views!
Best time to visit:
March through May and August through October — but great year round!
