About Yosemite National Park, California
Located in California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range, Yosemite National Park is a must-see for anyone visiting the state. Yosemite is known for its sheer, granite cliffs, ancient sequoia trees, waterfalls, and endless wilderness to explore. It is a mecca for mountain climbers and you can pass your time watching them climb faces that look impossible - just make sure to bring your binoculars! We love camping in Yosemite Valley and renting bikes to get around the small village, or utilizing the free shuttles. Just be prepared to battle with some crowds - luckily there are plenty of hikes to make you feel like you have the place all to yourself!
Best time to visit:
Mid-May to early June and late September to mid-October
*Many roads close once the snow comes so you probably don’t want to visit during the winter months, unless you are prepared for detours and closures
