Monterey, California is best known for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and for good reason! The Aquarium has around 35,000 animals and more than 550 species. Kids and adults alike will stand in awe of the giant tank of jellyfish and smile at the playful sea otters. Take a walk along Fisherman’s Wharf and make sure to keep an eye out for dolphins and whales in Monterey Bay, or take a tour boat out to see these animals up close. A scenic drive through Monterey, known as 17-Mile Drive, will take you to some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline. Visit the upscale town of Camel-by-the-Sea or play a round of golf at Pebble Beach - if you can get a reservation!.
