The largest National Scenic Area in the US, Columbia River Gorge designates where the mighty Columbia cuts through the Cascade Mountains. You’ll find awe-inspiring waterfalls, like the well-known Multnomah, Bridal Veil and Latourell falls, and fields of wildflowers. Not only is the scenery gorgeous, but you’ll experience vineyards, hand-crafted beer and farm-fresh dining, as well as mountain biking trails and hiking trails. The water sports are hard to resist, especially as you get to Hood River, the windsurfing capital of the world.

April through October
